Hi. I’m sorry. But literally as I was reblogging this the lady being interviewed in the doc I’m watching said something like “oh ya know, it was normal girl talk stuff like all about how terrible husbands are.” And I. Yup.
When I casually mentioned watching something with my spouse to my massage therapist he was absolutely flabbergasted we do that together. Even more so when we would still hang out and watch even if we didn’t care for the show the other liked just so we could be together after a day apart.
Or how we’d play games together. Or how we shared a large portion of our friend group.
And I just…. how… how else do you live with the person you decided to build your life with?
I have seen a distressing amount of married folks who legitimately just…. don’t care for their spouses at all. Like, they tolerate them, at best.
It’s not even like these are old married couples, where things changed or the magic faded or they grew apart, but relatively young folks in their 20s and 30s and their relationships were like this before they even got married.
I just don’t see the point if you don’t even enjoy one another’s company.

Ok so I’ve been playing for 18 years and i’m a string teacher. Can i just say how IMPORTANT it is for young kids to see a BLACK, MALE-PRESENTING PERSON playing, nae, SHREDDING on a violin? I’ve know maybe 5 black people who played stringed instruments throughout my schooling and teaching (predumably because i’m an upper middle class white woman). In districts where the population is predominantly black, funding is always low, so the instruments are crappy. Kids quit, or the program is dismantled. I’ve seen very few professional string players who are black.
Obviously there are black string players. We just don’t see them because they “don’t look like” string players.

I dont really care if you use the term bisexual or pansexual, but what i DO care about is that you understand that bisexuality at NO stage in history was EVER trans-exclusionary. Bisexuality has always included trans folks, and non-binary folks, and the entire spectrum of gender between male and female, as well as Definitively Gender and agender. It has ALWAYS meant “attraction to more than one gender.” It has NEVER meant “attraction to cis men and women only.”
So, pan, bi, use whichever label you will. But do NOT buy into the recent-years innacurate concept that bisexuality is attraction to cis men and women only, because thats literally never been the case.

pan colours = “men, women, and nb people.”
Those two things are…… not all that different to each other.
The purple has always, literally since the flag was created,meant “more genders.”
And bisexuality included “more genders” in the definition before the bi flag was created, too. Thats why they included the purple bar in the first place,because it was reflective of bisexual people’s attraction to and relationship with gender.
If you feel that pansexual suits you better, or you like the pan flag more, then thats fine – but don’t spread the misconception that bisexuality is remotely exclusionary. Because its literally never been.
Thinking about how every major city (except fort worth) in Texas is blue, votes democrat in every election, is majority liberal/left-leaning. It’s driving me insane okay. The majority of Texans live in or around the major cities. Land does not vote.
75% of Texans live in BLUE!!!

You guys don’t get it, like if you’re not from Texas you don’t get it. Most people here seem to just wanna keep their guns and like not have to pay high taxes, but thats were their “"conservative ”“ views end. Texas is a minoriry-majority state. Dallas and Austin have some of the biggest LGBT populations in the US. To even call Texas a red state is CRAZY TO ME. ITS GERRYMANDERING!
People really need to remeber that most red states are only red bcs of voter suppression. Time and time again looking into the actual political leanings of populations has proven that if every single American adult voted the republicans would never win another election anywhere and that’s without getting rid of gerrymandering and the electoral college. This is why they’re obsessed with making sure it’s as hard as possible to vote, it’s the only way they can stay in power and they know it. They’ve known it since the goddamn Civil War, fuck since the dawn of this country. It’s always been about making sure the "right” people are in power by only letting the citizens who will vote for them have the ability to do do so.
And, incidentally, this is why Arizona has gone blue. Despite being a historically red state we have laws to protect people’s right to vote and make it as easy as possible, and it’s telling as fuck that the second the tide began to turn in 2020 the republicans here immediately started trying to implement voter ID laws and ban mail in votes. They KNOW they will lose if they let everyone vote and so they rig the game as much as possible.
This is part of why you shouldn’t write off places like Texas and Florida and other red states bcs they keep voting red. The majority of their populations are NOT republicans and the only reason republican candidates keep winning is because they have suppressed voters at every step of the process, going so far as to throw out hundreds of thousands of votes in some areas in Texas on a bs technicality that would have likely meant Beto O'Rourke’s victory over Greg Abbot.
It’s fucking rigged. That’s why they keep winning. So stop writing off these states as lost causes just because of their elections, damn near EVERY American state has a population whos majority leans left, they just continue to have their rights stripped away by corrupt leaders who know the only way to win is to cheat.
No wonder they have so obviously turned against Democracy.

Conservatives from out of state keep coming here because they think it’s this state is a conservative paradise where they can do what they want carte blanche.
I’ve seen Texas get progressively worse year after year, and not just politically. The drivers have gotten worse and more aggressive, especially in Austin where this wasn’t as much of a problem.
People have become even more invasive and hateful towards the LGBTQ community and PoC, especially in the suburbs. Our housing prices have shot up faster than anywhere else in the nation.
You can track the continued left-ward movement of places like California and Colorado with the right-ward shift of Texas, because they keep fucking moving here. I’m sure you can say the same thing about Florida, they just got a whole new set of conservative boomer retirees moving there and Trumpists moving to be closer to Mar-a-Lago.
At this point, the best option for my partners and me is to just leave Texas and take the places of the shitty OoS Conservatives that moved here.
